Cat Care Society to Host Waived-Fee Adoption Day & Thrift Shop on August 13
Lakewood, CO (August 4, 2023) — Cat Care Society (CCS), a non-profit cat shelter that provides adoption services and medical care for cats in the Denver metro area, announces its participation in Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign that runs from August 1-31.
Cat Care Society will host a special one-day only waived-fee adoption event on August 13 from noon to 6 p.m. All shelter visitors that day can adopt a new feline friend at no cost. Additionally, a small pop-up “thrift shop” tent will be just outside the shelter building that same day from noon to 3 p.m., where a variety of cat-themed antiques and other items will be for sale.
For the rest of the month of August, all Lonely Hearts Club member cats are half off — although many of their fees are already sponsored. These are cats who need extra help finding the right home due to their age, personality, special medical needs or other reason. They may have been overlooked in the past, but we believe they can bring so much love to your life.
“We hope to see you at the shelter for this special event as we try to ‘clear the shelter’ and find all our amazing animals loving homes,” EC Michaels, Cat Care Society’s executive director said.
By partnering with NBCUniversal and Telemundo, Cat Care Society joins a network of animal shelters across the region and the country in a push to find loving homes for pets in need.
