Happily Homed: Nagato (Kota) and Konan (Lilith)

two black cats lay on the floor

Amanda Huggett

We have an #adoptionupdate sent in from Rhyann, who adopted a bonded pair of black kittens, Nagato (Kota) and Konan (Lilith) in January 2022. (Nagato has the tiny white patch on her chest and Konan has the big one.) These two came to CCS as undersocialized and shy strays, but were lucky enough to find a patient adopter.

In fact, Rhyann originally came in just looking for one black cat and ended up leaving with a pair! Kittens do better in two’s anyway, so this was great news for everyone.

“They’re both still a little shy with new people but they’ve really grown out of their shells!” Rhyann said. “They’ve been really good. Konan is a real big snuggle bug! Nagato can be a snuggle bug too but she definitely picks favorites. Their favorite toys are large Trivial Pursuit dice, a plastic potato, literally anything and everything they can bat around on the floor, and cardboard boxes. (Though they think of those more as chew toys). They love sneaking into our bedrooms when they think we aren’t looking, and sunbathing.”

Thank you Rhyann for giving this pair a great home!

Have you adopted from CCS in the past? We’d love to hear how it’s going! Send us your adoption success stories (and photos!) to be featured in our #adoptionupdate series on social media or on our website.
