Happily Homed: Smokey, Buffy & Pepper
We have an #adoptionupdate from Amber, who adopted Smokey in January 2023, and bonded senior pair Buffy and Pepper in February 2024.
Initially, Amber saw Smokey on Instagram and came in specifically for him. “I love black cats and senior cats, so he was perfect,” she said.
A year later, she came back in to pick up her 2024 CCS calendar, and wanted to meet Buffy. “I went into her room and Pepper snuggled right up into my lap. I found out they were bonded and spent a lot of time thinking about whether to bring two additional cats into the home.”
She did, and now says “Smokey is the king of the house. He gets into everything and wants to participate in all activities. Buffy and Pepper are doing awesome.”
“Smokey loves to drink from faucets and fountains, sleep on fluffy beds, play with catnip toys and snuggle up next to or on top of me. He sleeps about an inch from my face all night, when he’s not demanding attention with a paw grab. Buffy and Pepper are eating like champs, love catnip toys (Buffy) and wand toys (Pepper), and are complete snuggle bugs. When I sit down to read a book, they are both in my lap in minutes.
“Buffy and Pepper have an entire floor to themselves, which they tend to use the most. I have plenty of space and all my time outside of work is for the animals, so they get a lot of attention.
