Happily Homed: Poppy (Flute)

Collage of tortoiseshell cat

Beth Dokolasa

We have an #adoptionupdate from Hannah who adopted Flute (now Poppy) this past September! Hannah arrived at CCS uncertain about adopting that day, but she quickly fell in love with Poppy.

“She’s been doing so well. She came in the first day and claimed the apartment as her own. Her favorite room is generally wherever we are but she can also be caught in her bed or looking out the window in the office!

“She’s been doing amazing. She eats well, and sleeps on the Sherpa blanket on the couch in the living room or in her Sherpa bed in the office. She loves feather wands and cardboard boxes. She likes to sleep in a cardboard box in the sun in the mornings when I open the blinds. She likes sitting on laps and playing 22 out of 24 hours a day. She does not like cat trees.

“She is very gTortoiseshell catood about using her scratcher! She’s in love with my partner and they play together all of the time. She loves to sit with us both on the couch at night after dinner. She is so friendly and she’s the bravest cat I’ve ever had. She wouldn’t let us keep her in the bathroom to adjust the day we got her, she wanted to claim the house for herself! I adore her and I’m so glad we got her.”

Have you adopted from CCS in the past? We’d love to hear how it’s going! Send us your adoption success stories (and photos!) to be featured in our #adoptionupdate series on social media or on our website.
