Happily Homed: Mariska (Nubs)
We have a new adoption update sent in from Arianna, who adopted Nubs last month. Nubs was an adorable orange and white female tabby who went home on our fee-free adoption day for Clear the Shelters!
When Arianna came in, she was looking at some of the torties and blue creams, but when she saw Nubs, she knew she was the one. Though the name Nubs though fit her appearance, Nubs was renamed to Mariska, in honor of Mariska Hargitay’s character from Law & Order: SVU.
Mariska “adjusted so well from when we first brought her home. She was overwhelmed the day we brought her home and hid everywhere she could. I even couldn’t find her for like 4 hours, but now she cuddles with us all day long and meows when she doesn’t have enough attention.”
“She loves being in bed with mom and dad. She is starting to let our two young boys pet her more and not run from them. Her favorite things to play with is the kids legos. She bats them around like crazy for endless fun for her. She loves her new cat tower we got her so that she would stop scratching our couch.”
“Mariska is happy and healthy and is the perfect fit for our family,” she said. “I’m so glad that I got her that day and now we have another child to spoil and love.”
