Happily Homed: Garth and Brooksie (Tic and Tac)

two cats laying together

Amanda Huggett

We have another adoption update from Hermina, who adopted brothers from the same litter Tic and Tac (now Garth and Brooksie) back in May 2019!

Hermina fell in love with the cats after two people posted a picture of them in the shelter on her Facebook page. How are they adjusting to their new home? Very easily! Hermina says: “One adjusted right away, sniffed everything, looked everywhere. His brother took about 20 hours to come out of his shell. They are both very loving and cuddly.”

Now, they are doing great. “They love each other, but also fight a lot, not always play fight. Brooksie sleeps more than Garth. He’s also the only one using his beds. Garth just sleeps everywhere else, but both on the couch a lot or on my bed. Garth is crazy about glitter balls or crinkly balls, I have to play fetch with him. Brooksie is more into strings.”

They are very picky eaters and are very spoiled, she says. “Garth wants to be held a lot. Sits on my shoulder. But he’s a big boy as he likes his temptations candy.”

Have you adopted from CCS in the past? We’d love to hear how it’s going! Send us your adoption success stories (and photos!) to be featured in our #adoptionupdate series on social media or on our website.
