We have an #adoptionupdate from Holli who adopted three FIV+ and FeLV+ CCS cats in June 2023: tabby Flannigan (the tabby), Stargazer (now Starfyre or Mamas, who sports the black spots on his face), and Sprite.
Holli came to CCS specifically looking for two cats with feline leukemia, as she knew they often have a harder time finding a home, but ended up adopting all three available that day!
“They were skittish at first, but with patience and gentle persuasion, they found regular routines,” she said. “Flanigan is, as always, the biggest love bug. Any human around gets loved up on. Mamas still keeps her distance from everyone but loves sunning herself on grandma’s waterbed. Sprite is the young adventurer. When he’s not chasing toys, he’s coaxing Flanigan into a game of chase through the house.”
“Bringing these three home was one of the best choices! Their temperament matches mine, and we cohabitate well.”
Have you adopted from CCS in the past? We’d love to hear how it’s going! Send us your adoption success stories (and photos!) to be featured in our #adoptionupdate series on social media or on our website.
