Donate Supplies or Items

Want to donate new or gently used cat items? We will happily take them!

Donations may be dropped off at our shelter during open hours or shipped to 5787 W 6th Ave Lakewood, CO 80214. When you drop off your donations, you can choose to fill out a donation receipt form to keep for your records and tax-deduction purposes.

What We Accept

Non-refrigerated, unexpired cat food or treats (wet or dry; new bags or opened bags in original packaging)
Litter (clumping and/or non-clumping)
Small or medium-sized plastic cat carriers/crates
New or gently used blankets or towels
New litterboxes
New or gently used cat beds

New or gently used Kuranda Beds
New or gently used food and water dishes
New or gently used cat toys
New cat brushes or combs
Working baby gates
Hand soap, gentle laundry detergent and bleach
Cat-themed books
Cat-themed artwork or figurines

What We Do NOT Accept

Open or unopened medications of any kind
People or pet clothing
Bed sheets, pillows, pillowcases or comforters
Mattresses, mattress covers
Furniture, including used cat towers
Soft-sided cat carriers
Carpet remnants
Used litterboxes
Stuffed animals
Items for dogs or other animals

Shop Our Wishlists or Host a Supply Drive

Support the cats by collecting the most-needed items from our wish list through an in-kind donation of supplies for the shelter and its feline residents.

Give Monthly

Become a Constant Companion to the cats by assigning a monthly donation.

Donate a Vehicle

Donate your new or used vehicle to CCS and receive a tax deduction. It doesn’t even have to be in working condition, and our partners will provide towing for free!

Give a Tribute

Make a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one by designating your donation as such in the comment section of your donation.

Sponsor an Adoption

Already have a cat or can’t adopt right now and want to help one find a loving home? Sponsor a cat’s adoption! Pick between sponsoring a kitten, adult cat or a senior and simply pay the donation fee. The cat and his or her future adopters will thank you!

Legacy Giving & Guardianship Program

Establish a legacy that will last generations with our Nine Lives Legacy Program – include Cat Care Society in your estate planning.

Make a Major Gift

Make a one-time major gift to the Cat Care Society and underwrite a special program or initiative to benefit the cats.

Donate Medical Care

Help the CCS cats get the medical treatment they need when entering the shelter or during their stay.

Workplace Giving

If your company sponsors a workplace giving program, select Cat Care Society to be the recipient of your charitable donations via payroll deductions.

Corporate Matching

Do you work for a company that encourages philanthropic giving? Many employers offer a matching incentive and will double – sometimes triple – your donation! Ask your HR department if your company matches. Shop for a Cause

Make a big impact on the lives of cats in Colorado by simply shopping for groceries. Cat Care Society participates in King Soopers’ Community Giving Program, which awards non-profits like us free money from your purchases at no extra cost to you. To get started, sign up for a King Soopers loyalty account — or use your existing one — and link your shopper’s card to your account. Designate CCS as your preferred charity. Then, simply swipe your card or enter your ID number at checkout.

Combined Federal Campaign

Are you a federal employee or retiree? Use your workplace giving program through the CFC to us using charity code 58467.
