1. Adopt or Sponsor a Cat
One of the biggest ways you can make a difference is to adopt a cat rather than purchase one from a breeder or pet store. Cats of all colors, breeds, and ages make their way to Cat Care Society, be sure to check out our adoptable cats regularly if you’re looking for something specific.
If you can’t make a long term commitment right now, we are always in need of foster parents who can open their homes to cats or kittens for several weeks or a month.
No space for a cat? Consider sponsoring the cost of the care for some of our cats. We’ll send you a personalized thank you, and of course you’re welcome to visit as often as you like!
Volunteers are the foundation of Cat Care Society. From hands-on work like feeding, scooping, and socializing to running events, entering data, and answering phones, volunteers play an integral role in our daily operations. A couple hours a month can make a world of difference to homeless cats in our community.
One of our most important volunteer jobs doesn’t even require you to leave your house. As a limited admission shelter we are restricted to helping only those cats we have room for in our shelter. Foster volunteers who open their homes to our hospice, special needs, and temporary care cats help us to save even more lives. We appreciate all of our volunteers who donate their time to a cause that we all love.
3. Make a Donation
Cat Care Society provides care for over 500 cats each year, costing between $800,000 and $1,000,000. We receive no government funding and rely solely on generous donations to continue our mission of helping cats in need. Donating is easy through Colorado Gives or PayPal, follow the links to learn more. Have a used car, boat, or motorcycle sitting around that you no longer use? Consider donating it to CCS, Vehicles for Charity will take it off your hands making it hassle free to contribute to our life saving work. We also gratefully accept donations of food, litter, beds, and cleaning supplies. Check out our Amazon Wishlist for a convenient way to donate the supplies we need most.
4. Spread the Word
