Las Vegas Adventures

We stayed at the MGM Grand. I couldn't resist having my picture taken with their “cat” – the huge statue of a lion that graces the front entrance. He looks almost as cool as I do!

Although we were in Las Vegas , it felt like a trip around the world. We had brunch on Sunday morning at the Paris hotel. That's me with Bethany , Sera and Mark in the walkways of the hotel. They've decorated it to look just like Paris . I had a bite of croissant and a sip of cappuccino and I felt as though I were in a bistro in Paris . Oui oui!

Of course, no trip to Vegas would be complete without a stop by the fountains at the Bellagio. Thank goodness they had a glass partition on the bridge we were on – I would have been very unhappy if I got wet! There is a lot of water in those fountains!

Continuing our “around the world” tour, we stopped by the New York , New York hotel. That's me in front of Lady Liberty. My friends Tony, Sera and Bethany rode the roller coaster there. My friend Mark and I decided to sit it out, though, since we aren't that crazy about roller coasters – instead we stayed inside and played some of the slot machines. I was mesmerized by all those flashing lights and dinging bells!

We were wandering through one of the malls and I met up with my idol, the Roaming Gnome from Travelocity! I was thrilled to finally meet him in person. He's my hero, because he gets to go everywhere, too. I hope to have as much fun on my adventures this year as he does on his!

I love this gnome!

Ta-daaa!

We also ran into another Vegas staple, the Blue Man Group. These guys were in the Venetian mall, so I had to stop and pose for a picture here with a member of the Group. He was kind enough to stop pounding on his drum long enough for me to have my picture taken.

Here's me and my foster mom, Bethany. This picture was snapped in the mall at the Planet Hollywood Hotel. That big round thing behind us a large chandelier made up of hundreds of individual crystals – it was very pretty. I wanted to jump up and bat them around, but my friends kept me in the bag! This was my mode of transportation throughout the trip. The backpack is quite comfortable and roomy. My friends even let me peek my head out while we were walking around, so I could enjoy the sights as well.
