Two Cats Found in Dumpster

4/12/2007 - A few weeks ago, a trash collector found two cats in a carrier in a dumpster. Being the Good Samaritan that he was, he brought these two cats to Cat Care Society. We named the cats Dietrich and Garbo. Once Connie Houseman, the Shelter Vet Tech was able to check them, we found that Garbo was pregnant. Both Garbo and Dietrich were CCS stars with LOTS of media coverage! Dietrich has since been adopted by a nice couple. Garbo is still in seclusion. She has since given birth to 6 kittens. Unfortunately, one of the kittens did not survive, but the others seem to be doing well. The kittens will be available for adoption in approximately two months. |

06/01/2007 - Update on Garbo and her kittens
Garbo and her kittens are happy and thriving so all of them are now in the shelter awaiting adoption. Come visit them soon! They are sure to find good homes quickly.
Wait! Don't blink... all the kittens are now happy in their new homes. Come by and visit with Garbo!
